Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using SGV, creating an account, posting Candidate Information, posting a listing, sending a message, or purchasing access, you agree to these Terms and all policies incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. SGV may require administrative approval before Candidate Information, Employer access, or listings become active.
3. Platform Role
SGV provides tools that allow people and organizations to discover, advertise, communicate about, and respond to jobs, gigs, services, projects, service requests, Candidate Information, and other eligible paid opportunities. SGV does not make hiring decisions, supervise work, set employment terms, guarantee payment, guarantee performance, or guarantee that any user is qualified, licensed, insured, trustworthy, or suitable.
4. User Responsibilities
- Use accurate, lawful, and non-misleading information.
- Comply with applicable employment, wage, licensing, tax, safety, discrimination, privacy, and other laws.
- Perform your own due diligence before hiring, accepting work, paying, meeting, contracting with, or sharing sensitive information with another party.
- Do not impersonate others, scrape the platform, misuse Candidate Information, send spam, or interfere with platform operation.
5. Candidate Information
Candidate Information is searchable only by approved Employers through Employer access. Candidates choose whether their email and phone are visible to Employers and may choose SGV messaging instead of direct contact. SGV does not guarantee that a Candidate will receive inquiries, interviews, offers, work, or income.
6. Employer Access and Listings
Employers are responsible for the legality, accuracy, completeness, compensation terms, requirements, and fulfillment of their listings and communications. Employer access does not represent an endorsement, certification, background check, or guarantee by SGV.
7. Payments
Current fees, plans, durations, and extension pricing are shown at the time of purchase and may change prospectively. All payments are final and non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. See the Payment & Refund Policy.
8. Content and License
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant SGV a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, secure, and improve SGV and to provide the visibility you requested.
9. Moderation, Suspension, and Removal
SGV may review, reject, hide, suspend, archive, or remove accounts, Candidate Information, listings, messages, or other content that violates these Terms, creates legal or safety risk, appears fraudulent or abusive, or otherwise threatens the integrity of the platform. SGV may preserve records reasonably necessary for administration, disputes, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or system integrity.
10. No Guarantee
SGV does not guarantee identity, qualifications, licensing, background, availability, compensation, payment, safety, legality, results, response rates, employment, revenue, or suitability of any user or opportunity.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Starin Solutions, LLC and SGV will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, personal injury caused by another user, or disputes between users arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Starin Solutions, LLC and SGV from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, listings, conduct, agreements with other users, or violation of law or these Terms.
13. Changes
SGV may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Venue for disputes, subject to applicable law, will lie in Clark County, Nevada.
