Fair Chance Policy
What the SGV Fair Chance Label Means
A Fair Chance label means the Employer or lister represents that a past conviction or other limiting event will not automatically disqualify a person and that the person may receive individualized consideration.
What It Does Not Mean
The label is not a certification, background check, legal opinion, endorsement, hiring guarantee, or representation by SGV that the Employer complies with every law applicable to hiring decisions.
Employer Responsibility
Employers remain solely responsible for their hiring criteria, background-check practices, individualized assessments, notices, record handling, and compliance with federal, Nevada, local, and other applicable laws.
Candidate Responsibility
Candidates remain responsible for providing truthful information when lawfully requested and for evaluating whether an opportunity is appropriate for them.
